Fun and Forgettable

Dividing Line

Sometime last summer I picked up a book while at Sidetrack, that cabin on Little Blake Lake in western Wisconsin.

It was one of those books in a big box stored under the bed for times when all other reading matter has been "used up."

Edgar Award-winning author Julie Smith has written several Skip Langdon mysteries and a few Rebecca Schwartz mysteries set in New Orleans.

I had no clue.

And as I write this a couple months after reading 82 Desire, "A Skip Langdon Novel," I have no clue once again.

I remember that the title is a reference to the streetcar named Desire.

I recognize some of the sentences when I thumb through the book.

I have no memories of the characters or the events I see mentioned in the book.

I remember enjoying the book, and saying to Nancy when I finished that it was good.

I'm glad, because now I can reread it and perhaps enjoy it again. I'll probably do that before I get desperate for reading material.

Anyone else familiar with Julie Smith's mysteries?

Write Tell a little bit of the world what you think.
