The Last Posting

How quickly summer goes. This will be the last web page I do for this summer, although my parents might "ask" me to do some next summer. Actually, now that I look back on it, it wasn’t that bad. This might become a summer habit of mine.

I’m not sure what I should write about, although he thing that is most on m mind is going into highschool. It is a little scary. I should be fine though, after all, one of my friends who is already there can help me. The thing that I’m going to have to do is figure out where everything is. I had already done that at the middle school.

Well it has been an interesting summer, with going to Cindy’s wedding, seeing Carlsbad Cavern, and just sitting around playing games and reading.

Oh! I just remembered that I wanted to tell people about the work that we have done on the cabin. I guess most of the people who could be reading this have seen the work at the cabin, but still... The deck has been replaced, so it doesn’t shake when a 3-year old runs across it. A fair amount of the cabin has been scraped and painted. The benches that were on the old deck have been recreated on the new deck, minus age. Stone pavers have been put on the gravel to form paths from the stairways to the deck and the back door. The grill has a platform in the back yard, so we don’t have to bring it out from the garage each time we want to grill. The picnic table has been painted and put on the deck. The dock has been fixed, thanks to me and my mom. The row boat has new ores. A skylight has been put into the roof in the loft, so it’s quite a bit brighter up there. A shade have been installed for the skylight, otherwise it is hard (even for a Teenager) to sleep in. We are now burning the wood that is left over, and basically cleaning up at the cabin, and when we’re not doing that we are scraping and painting.

I want to tell everyone that it has been fun doing this, and then I would like to thank everyone for the positive feedback (That really made it worth while). I hope that if I do this next summer I will get even more feed back.

Hmmm. I seem to need, let’s see, Ah, 80 more words. Well I am going to highschool soon, so any advise you have would be nice. You can E-mail me at David@Sidetrack.org. Also, if you have any advise where to find older video games (games for things like the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, also called the SNES). In some of my final words of summer, I would like to recommend books by Terry Prachett, and say have a wonderful time. I would like to thank my mother and father, and all of you, and... Oops, went into Star-Getting-Award mode.

Goodbye, and Thank you.
