Regular Meeting
August 30, 2005

The regular meeting of the Financial Advisory Council of St. Andrew's Church was called to order by Patty Williams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30, 2005, in the meeting room at St. Andrew's Rectory in Murphysboro, IL.

Members present were: Sharon Fisher, Pat Krawczyk, Patty Williams, Fr. Gary Gummersheimer, Judy Wisniewski, Cindy Holt, Bill Harper, Dave Barger, Steve Schumacher, Cameron Donahue, Ray Nowacki, Angelo Fiorino.

Others present: Dan Pautler

The meeting began with prayer by Mr. Harper.

Mr. Schumacher made the motion and Mr. Barger gave the second to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of St. Andrew's Financial Advisory Committee held July 19, 2005.

A voiced vote was recorded as follows: Aye - All; Nay - None.

The Chairman declared the motion carried.

Copies of the approved minutes will be made available in the back of church and also be placed on the Parish Web Site.

Mr. Fiorino arrived at 5:40 p. m.

In regard to old business, Mr. Schumacher has agreed to continue to replace the light bulbs in the Church as soon as the bulbs are available. Mr. Fiorino has a list of all the different bulbs that are needed and a list along with the fixtures where they are used will be given to Mr. Donahue for has records.

The Caring Fund was reviewed. Mr. Fiorino noted that he was most appreciative of the $500 the Parish had given from the Caring Fund to the Apple Tree Inn to help defray the cost of housing a homeless family. Mrs. Wisniewski had received some questions concerning the yearend report that had been placed in the Newsletter. Those concerns were addressed. It was suggested the guidelines for the Caring Fund be published the Newsletter.

The Building Fund was reviewed. There have been some concerns about the repair of the Stained Glass Windows. Mr. Donahue reported the project has not been completed and those things are going to be finished. Funds are still available in the Building Fund to pay upon satisfactory completion of the work.

Mr. Pautler addressed the group with several comments, concerns, and suggestions.

Mr. Harper will be presenting these comments, concerns, and suggestions to the Parish Council.

The Profit & Loss Statement for July and August, 2005 was reviewed.

The Parish Festival was a success! All of the bills have not been received so the final figures cannot be compiled but is estimated to be more than $25,000 profit. Thanks to everyone who contributed in any way.

Fr. Gary mentioned that St. Andrew Church had been included in the Estate of Helen Lucier. Everything is still pending at this time.

The meeting adjourned with prayer led by Fr. Gary at 6:30 P.M.
