The regular meeting of the Financial Advisory Council of St. Andrew's Church was called to order by Chairman Angelo Fiorino at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2005, in the meeting room at St. Andrew's Rectory in Murphysboro, IL.
Members present were: Angelo Fiorino, Sharon Fisher, Pat Krawczyk, Patty Williams, Fr. Gary Gummersheimer, Judy Wisniewski, Cindy Holt, Bill Harper.
Members absent: Dave Barger, Cameron Donahue, Steve Schumacher, Ray Nowacki, Mark Williams.
The meeting began with prayer read by Mr. Harper.
Mrs. Holt made the motion and Mrs. Williams gave the second to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of St. Andrew's Financial Advisory Committee held June 21, 2005.
A voiced vote was recorded as follows: Aye - All; Nay - None.
The Chairman declared the motion carried.
Copies of the approved minutes will be made available in the back of church and also be placed on the Parish Web Site.
The Building Fund was reviewed. Funds are available to pay for the repair of the stained glass windows upon completion of the work. Also included in the Building Fund was $402.00 which has been donated for the Peace Garden which is an Eagle Scout project.
The Caring Fund was reviewed. A quarterly report has been included with the Parish Newsletter and also copies of the Fiscal Year report will be included with the weekend bulletin.
Mr. Harper reported the final cost of Vacation Bible School to St. Andrew Parish was $478. Forty students and twenty helpers attended.
The Profit & Loss Statement for July, 2005 was reviewed.
After checking the bank balance in the general fund and anticipating any outstanding bills and payroll, it was decided an extra payment could be made on the Diocesan Tax Bill.
Mrs. Wisniewski made the motion and Mrs. Holt gave the second to send an extra $500 for a total of $1000 to the Diocese for payment on the Diocesan Tax Bill.
A voiced vote was recorded as follows: Aye - All Nay - None.
The Chairman declared the motion carried.
Mrs. Wisniewski made the motion and Mrs. Williams gave the second to include a copy of the FY 06 Budget for the Parish in the Newsletter.

Mrs. Holt reported that the School will be getting a credit card machine and it will be available for use beginning in August. This can be used to buy Script also.
Fr. Gary discussed the need for annual or semi-annual inventories of things that need to be done in our church.

Note: As Chairman of the Finance Committee, Mr. Fiorino recommends that these suggestions are referred to the Maintenance Committee before any further action is taken.
The Diocesan audit for our parish will be held sometime this fall. The next Finance Council meeting will be August 23, 2005 at 5:30 P. M.
