Regular Meeting

March 15, 2005

The regular meeting of the Financial Advisory Council of St. Andrew's Church was called to order by Chairman Angelo Fiorino at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in the meeting room at St. Andrew's Rectory in Murphysboro, IL.

     Members present were: Dave Barger, Cameron Donahue, Angelo Fiorino, Judy Wisniewski, Patty Williams, Sharon Fisher, Steve Schumacher, Bill Harper, Pat Krawczyk.

     Members absent were: Fr. Gary Gummersheimer, Ray Nowacki, Cindy Holt, Mark Williams.

     Others present: Dan Pautler.

The meeting began with prayer led by Mrs. Williams.

Mr. Barger made the motion and Ms. Fisher gave the second to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of St. Andrew's Financial Advisory Committee held February 15, 2005.

A voiced vote was recorded as follows: Aye - All; Nay - None.

The Chairman declared the motion carried.

Copies of the approved minutes will be made available in the back of church and also be placed on the Parish Web Site.

The Profit & Loss Statement for July 1, 2004 through March 15, 2005 was reviewed.

Mr. Schumacher made the motion and Mr. Barger gave the second to approve the P & L Statement as presented.

A voiced vote was recorded as follows: Aye - All; Nay - None.

The Chairman declared the motion carried.

After checking the bank balance in the general fund and anticipating any outstanding bills and payroll, it was decided an extra payment could NOT be made on the Diocesan Tax Bill.

Mrs. Wisniewski made the motion and Mrs. Williams gave the second to send only the regular payment of $500 to the Diocese for payment on the Diocesan Tax Bill.

A voiced vote was recorded as follows: Aye - All Nay - None.

The Chairman declared the motion carried.

A quarterly Profit & Loss statement will be included in the Parish Newsletter.

The Caring Fund was reviewed.

The March minutes of the Cemetery Committee meeting was reviewed. Mr. Pautler suggested a second collection for the Cemetery Fund be held on the fourth weekend of each month and an announcement be made to the Parish.

Preparation on the Budget for the upcoming year has begun and some figures will be available at the April meeting.

The second bid for the repair of the stain glass windows in Church still has not been received.

Mr. Barger made the motion and Mr. Schumacher gave the second to ask Mr. Donahue to call the company and give them a deadline of March 22, 2005 to get the bid to us. No bid will be considered later than the March 22 deadline.

A voiced vote was recorded as follows: Aye - All Nay - None.

The Chairman declared the motion carried.

Mr. Harper gave us copies of some Parish statistics that he had compiled which included Mass attendance records, summer attendance records, average collections, and school participation statistics.

The meeting adjourned at 7:00 P.M.

The next meeting will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 5:30 P. M.
